Reasons for the role

The creation of the Strategic Account Manager for Agri & Food Machinery at Robovision is a strategic response to the evolving needs and opportunities within this vital sector. This role is focused on deepening our engagement with three large key accounts in the Agri & Food Machinery space. These accounts have shown continuous potential for growth and new opportunities, necessitating dedicated management and development.

The Strategic Account Manager will 'farm' these accounts, moving beyond the initial sales phase to nurture and expand these relationships. This role requires an individual with either a strong background in similar account management roles or direct experience in the Agri & Food Machinery industry. The primary objective is to ensure these key accounts receive focused attention, with the goal of uncovering new avenues for collaboration and expansion. While the role allows for occasional contributions to new business within the region or vertical, the priority remains on managing and enhancing these customer relationships.

This role is crucial for Robovision as it ensures that our key clients in the Agri & Food Machinery sector are not only satisfied but also continually finding new value in our offerings, thereby solidifying our position as a leader in AI vision technology within this industry.

What will you do? 

  • Take primary responsibility for managing and expanding relationships with our key accounts in the Agri & Food Machinery space

  • Act as a dedicated 'farmer' for these accounts, nurturing and developing them to uncover new opportunities for business growth and deeper collaboration.

  • Utilise knowledge of the Agri & Food Machinery industry to understand client needs, challenges, and objectives, providing tailored solutions and services.

  • Maintain regular and strategic communication with key account stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and technical support, to deliver comprehensive and cohesive services to key accounts.

  • Monitor and report on account performance, identifying trends, and developing strategies to maximise account growth and revenue potential.

  • While primarily focused on key account management, contribute occasionally to new business development within the designated region or vertical, as opportunities arise.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends in the Agri & Food Machinery sector, leveraging insights to benefit key accounts and Robovision.

Job requirements

Who are you? 

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience of sales or business development in a technical software environment, preferably in the area of Machine building, enterprise Software, SaaS, platform-as-a-service (PaaS), AI solutions, cloud solutions, ERP, CRM, CMS, enterprise content management or similar.

  • Proven experience as a Strategic Account Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the Agri & Food and/or Machinery industry, or extensive industry-related experience.

  • Knowledge of data science, AI or industrial automation is an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow key accounts, with a track record of maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect and engage with high-level stakeholders.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the Agri & Food Machinery market, its challenges, and opportunities.

  • Ability to balance account management with occasional contributions to new business development.

  • Strategic and analytical thinker, capable of identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities within key accounts.

  • Legal authorization to work in the EU, with flexibility for travel to meet account needs.
